Bikes, Cameras, Action: Spring Photoraphy and writing conference for the motorcycle riding community planned for Spring in Eureka Springs, Ark.

EUREKA SPRINGS, ARKANSAS ---------- Most every rider has a camera stashed in a saddle or tank bag. It goes without saying that riders like to remember their rides with pictures. And many may have al-so thought about putting down their experiences in an article and submitting it to a motorcycle magazine or club newsletter.

Now there’s a conference geared specially for the motorcycle rider who wants to sharpen his or her photography and writing skills – Bikes, Cameras, Action!, in Eureka Springs, Ark.

cruisetheozarks.com, a website for riders visiting the Ozarks, and North Arkansas College, in Harrison, Ark., have teamed up to provide this unique opportunity. David Bell, owner of Cruise the Ozarks, is the photography instructor at North Arkansas College. “I’ve been a photographer and taught photography for 30 years and have been involved in numerous workshops,” Bell says. “To my knowledge, this is the first one geared exclusively toward motorcycle riders.” Bell is a frequent contributor to motorcycle and general interest/niche magazines.

“My goal is for this to be the first of semi-annual workshops for riders,” Bell says. “And what better place to inaugurate the workshop than in the heart of the Ozarks. The faculty are all respected profes-sionals their individual fields, selected to help improve conference attendees improve their skills. Most know their way around a motorcycle very well. Steve Lita, editor of RoadBike magazine, is this year’s featured presenter.

The workshop cost is $225.00, includes three meals. Riding opportunities will be available during the conference, as well time to relax around the historic Victorian resort town that water built, Eureka Springs.
